As Singapore marks 61 years, we reflect on the part each of us can play in building a society where children and youth feel supported, valued and hopeful about the future.

In this issue, we explore how children and youth can grow with confidence, connection and hope when their strengths are recognised and their mental wellbeing is supported. From trusted relationships and welcoming spaces to meaningful activities and open conversations, everyday experiences can help them discover what they are capable of and feel more confident seeking support when they need it.

We also honour the volunteers, donors and partners recognised at the Singapore Children’s Society Awards 2026. Their care and commitment strengthen the circle of support around children, youth and families, reminding us that lasting impact is often built through the consistent ways we show up for one another.

This National Day month, may these stories inspire us to keep nurturing strengths, opening possibilities and creating a Singapore where every child and youth can flourish.
